Brandon Half-Marathon & 5K
Sunday, November 3rd, 2006

Twenty two FishHawk Road Runners raced in the Brandon Half-Marathon and 5K races. Keegan Bixler and Nicola Garba were the overall male and female 5K winners! Five other FRR's raced the 5K -- Jane Pollock won first place in her age group, Keven Loveland and Austin King both placed 3rd in their age groups. In the Half-Marathon, Matt ("no I don't train, I just run") Swartzlander won his age group. Paul Mulrenin, in spite of being sick, placed second in the 35-39 age group. Jacki Champion was 2nd, Steve Dunn was 3rd and Gail Clarke was 5th in their respective age groups. Congratulations Lester Gonzalez and Dan Miller for finishing your first half-marathons - great job! We had a great showing at the races and took home a lot of trophies. We had other runners who put on spectacular personal performances. This great race had an awesome post-race celebration! Nothing like getting in a good run then drinking beer before noon to start your day! Congratulations to all the runners!
